2 Hurt in San Diego DUI Accident on 45th Street
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA (May 10, 2021) – Sunday night, two people sustained injuries in a suspected DUI crash on South 45th Street.
According to Officer Robert Heims of the San Diego Police Department, the incident happened at around 6:08 p.m.
Moreover, the DUI accident transpired in the 400 block of South 45th Street in the Mountain View neighborhood.
Reports revealed that a 2012 black Ford Fusion ran a stop sign. Then, it collided with a southbound 2003 red Ford Ranger pickup at the intersection.
After the initial crash, the Fusion continued driving and crashed into a parked car. The force of the crash pushed the parked vehicle, causing it to roll back. Eventually, the parked car collided with another vehicle.
Moreover, the 35-year-old man driving the Fusion sustained cuts to the head. Meanwhile, the 49-year-old man driving the Ranger sustained a broken leg.
Also, authorities believe that alcohol played a role in the San Diego crash.
The incident is under San Diego Police Department Traffic Division’s investigation.
