2 Hurt in Downtown Los Angeles Scooter Accident
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, CA (May 13, 2019) – Two people sustained injuries in a car and scooter accident on 3rd Street on May 11.
The incident occurred at 3rd Street and Broadway Avenue around 8:30 p.m. According to Los Angeles police, the scooter rider traveled across the street outside of an intersection. Authorities also confirmed that the scooter rider caused the collision.
Meanwhile, a witness revealed that the rider ran a red light. Eventually, a vehicle hit the scooter rider. Moreover, the involved vehicle had a rideshare company sticker in its windshield. However, it’s unknown whether the driver was on duty during the collision.
Both motorists suffered injuries and medics transported them to local hospitals.
The crash remains under investigation.
