2 Hurt in Apple Valley Car Accident

 
APPLE VALLEY, CA (March 7, 2019) – Two people suffered in a car collision involving a semi and a passenger vehicle on March 5.
 
The incident occurred around 5:05 p.m. on Bear Valley Road near Pawnee Road.
 
The firefighters with the Apple Valley Fire Protection District responded to the major injury collision. The AVFPD posted a tweet at 5:21 p.m., showing a photo of a four-door vehicle with major front end damage. They also stated that they are currently conducting an extrication.
 
In addition, the incident also left an overturned 18-wheeler dry bulk trailer in the roadway. Meanwhile, a third vehicle sustained damages by flying debris.
 
Firefighters had to extricate the trapped driver from the vehicle. Witnesses also said that the driver was a young man in his teens. Meanwhile, a young passenger in the vehicle sustained less critical injuries but was also hospitalized.
 
The AVFPD also tweeted that by 5:44 p.m., their team finished the extrication.
 
The helicopters H-80 and H325 came to the scene to airlift two victims to St. Mary’s Medical Center.
