Motorists Injured in Rollover Crash on State Route 97 near the Big Y
Wenatchee, WA (October 05, 2020)– On Sunday, 2 people were injured in a rollover crash on State Route 97 near the Big Y.
Moreover, the collision happened at about 1:00 p.m. blocking all southbound traffic for about an hour.
Furthermore, Trooper Jeremy Weber says that a Honda Civic pulled over onto the northbound shoulder, attempting to reenter southbound traffic via a u-turn.
However, the Honda’s driver did not see a GMC S15, causing the collision that plunged in the Honda going into a ditch and the GMC rolling onto its side in the southbound lane.
Additionally, Weber says “The driver in the GMC had some minor injuries, and that person was going to get checked on at a later time.”
Furthermore, he added, “Meanwhile, in the Honda, the driver had some neck and shoulder pains and the passenger had some back pains. They were transported to the hospital for precautionary reasons.”
Lastly, authorities have not given information about both party’s identities. However, the Civic’s driver will face a citation for failure to use the right-of-way.
