Driver and Child Injured in Single-Vehicle Crash on Route U in Cooper County
Cooper County, MO (November 30, 2024) On Thursday morning, an adult and a minor were hurt after a disastrous solo-car crash on Route U.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the single-vehicle crash happened at about 2:30 a.m. a mile south of Route B.
Reports say that the single-vehicle crash injured two Boonville residents.
Authorities say that the accident happened around 2:30 a.m. on Route U, about one mile south of Route B.
Officials say that a 26-year-old man driving the vehicle failed to navigate a curve, causing the car to veer off the road. The car struck several small trees before stopping in a tree line.
The driver sustained moderate injuries, while his passenger, a 7-year-old boy, suffered minor injuries. Both were transported to University Hospital in Columbia for medical treatment.
