75-Year-Old Man Dies in Tragic Vehicle Crash on State Route 74
Vista, CA (March 2, 2024) On Thursday afternoon, a 75-year-old man was killed, and 2 other people were hurt in a 2-vehicle collision on SR 74.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the fatal vehicle crash happened at about 12:30 p.m. on SR-74 near the Vista Point.
Reports say that a white Subaru Crosstrek going down the mountain, with the man and a woman, crossed over double solid lines and crashed into a tow truck.
The Subaru driver dead at the scene, while the female passenger suffered moderate injuries and the truck driver suffered minor injuries. Both injured patients were taken to Desert Regional Medical Center.
Authorities are investigating the horrific crash and have not released further details at this time.
