2 People Hospitalized after Rollover Crash on Highway 101 and Refugio Road [Goleta, CA]

2 Injured in Goleta Car Accident on Highway 101

 
GOLETA, CA (June 14, 2020) – Early Friday night, two people sustained injuries in a rollover crash on Highway 101 and Refugio Road.
 
The authorities received a report of the crash at about 6:30 p.m. According to reports, the vehicle overturned off the northbound lanes of Highway 101 onto the southbound lanes.
 
According to County Fire, the crash ejected one person from the crash. That person suffered major injuries and responders took him/her to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment.
 
Meanwhile, a second person involved in the accident suffered minor injuries. Then, responders took the injured to the hospital with an unknown condition.
 
The crash led to a complete stop on the southbound side of the 101 Freeway.
 
As a result of the crash, the authorities shut down only the #1 lane, or fast lane while emergency personnel worked at the scene.
 
The California Highway Patrol handles the investigation.
