Crash on Kearny Mesa State Route 163 Injures 2 People

 
San Diego, CA (March 26, 2021) – Two people seriously injured after a car drove off freeway leading to a crash on Kearny Mesa on Thursday night.
 
The incident occurred on March 25 on Kearny Mesa State Route 163 just before 10 p.m.
 
Authorities said the vehicle traveling on southbound State Route 163 crossed three lanes before taking the Kearny Villa Road off-ramp. Upon investigation, police found out that the vehicle seemed to be hitting the brakes hard before it left the freeway.
 
According to San Diego Fire-Rescue Department, the vehicle crashes into the fence of an In-N-Out Burger. Furthermore, the vehicle finally came to a rest when it reached the parking lot.
 
The two occupants of the car sustained serious injuries from the crash. Medics transported them to a hospital for treatments however, there have been no updates regarding their current condition.
 
Moreover, the cause of the incident remains unclear.
