2 People Hospitalized in Fiery Wrong-Way crash on Highway 101 [San Jose, CA]

San Jose, CA (October 16, 2021) On Saturday morning, 2 people were hospitalized after a fiery wrong-way crash on Highway 101.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) says that the crash happened after midnight.

The CHP says they receive calls about a white pickup truck heading in the wrong direction northbound right near Tully Road.

Moreover, the truck crashed into the right-hand shoulder of the road. The motorist was quick to get out of his vehicle before it burst into flames.

Meanwhile, another vehicle crashed near the center divider, a possible result of avoiding the wrong-way vehicle.

The CHP says, that rescuers took 2 people to the hospital. Their status is unknown at the moment.
