Four-Vehicle Crash on Highways 69 and 169 Injures 2 People
Prescott Valley, AZ (May 8, 2021) – A crash on Highways 69 and 169 involving four vehicles left two people hospitalized on late Thursday afternoon.
The crash happened on May 6 at State Route 69 northbound and State Route 169 intersection at about 4:35 p.m.
According to the Prescott Valley Police Department, a 2009 Chevrolet Impala traveling northbound on State Route 69 failed to see a red light. As a result, it rear-ended a Toyota Camry.
Due to the impact of the collision, the Camry then crashed into two other vehicles.
The occupants of the two other vehicles did not report any injuries from the collision. However, both of the front passengers of the Camry and Impala suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
An air ambulance transported them to a Phoenix hospital for treatments.
Furthermore, authorities cited the driver of the Impala for failing to control his speed to avoid a collision.

The extent of the incident prompted the closure of northbound State Route 69 at State Route 169. However, it has since been reopened for traffic.
