Suspected DUI Driver Arrested after Solo-Car Collision on Dracaea Avenue
RIVERSIDE, CA (June 30, 2018) – Two passengers were injured early Saturday morning and a driver was arrested following a DUI crash on Old 215 Frontage Road.
The crash was reported at 2:18 AM near the intersection of Old 215 Frontage Road and Dracaea Avenue. A vehicle was heading south on Old 215 Frontage at a high rate of speed when it left the roadway and slammed into a tree.
The passenger in the front seat was transported to a hospital, where he was listed in critical condition after suffering major head injuries. The driver and the rear passenger were also hospitalized with minor injuries but were expected to recover soon. Their identities were not immediately available.
Authorities believe that alcohol was a contributing factor in the violent crash. The driver, reported to be from Moreno Valley, was arrested and will be booked into the county jail after being medically cleared.
