2 Men Killed in DUI Car Accident on La Palma Avenue and Olive Street [Anaheim, CA]

2 Dead and 2 Injured in Anaheim Car Crash on La Palma Avenue

ANAHEIM, CA (May 27, 2020) – Two men died in an alleged DUI car accident on La Palma Avenue in Anaheim on May 23.

The Anaheim Police Department revealed that the crash occurred at about 8:20 p.m. According to them, one of the victims was thrown out of the vehicle when an eastbound silver Mazda CX9 minivan crashed his car on La Palma Avenue near the Olive Street intersection.

Moreover, another victim died inside the car. When the police arrived, they declared the two victims dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, Sgt. Shane Carringer said that a third passenger is in critical condition. He also said that the minivan driver sustained minor injuries. As a result, responders transported two injured men to the UC Irvine Medical Center.

The Cause of the Fatal Accident on La Palma Avenue

Furthermore, Carringer revealed that they will arrest the driver once he’s cleared from the hospital. His identity wasn’t disclosed at this time.

The traffic investigators suspect that alcohol and drugs played a role in the fatal crash.

Also, the officers said that the minivan was also involved in a separate crash on Harbor Boulevard and La Palma, just before the fatal car accident.
