2 Men Injured in Solo Vehicle Crash on Highway 13 [Johnson County, Mo]

2 People Hospitalized After Crash on Highway 13 in Johnson County

Johnson County, Mo (December 19, 2024) – A single-vehicle crash on Highway 13 injured two men Thursday morning, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported. 

The accident occurred at about 7:59 a.m.

A 2004 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 27-year-old man from Chula, Missouri, was heading south when the driver attempted to pass another vehicle. 

The truck began fishtailing, veered off the right side of the road, overturned, and ejected the driver before coming to rest off an embankment, facing northeast.

The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained moderate injuries. 

Emergency responders transported him to Centerpoint Medical Center via the Johnson County Ambulance District. 

A 33-year-old male passenger, also from Chula, was wearing a seat belt but suffered more severe injuries. 

He was also taken to Centerpoint Medical Center by ambulance.

The crash left the vehicle totaled, and Tip Top Tow removed it from the scene. 

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Department, along with fire and EMS personnel, assisted with the response.
