2 Men Injured in Highway 116 Crash [Sebastopol, CA]

Two Men Hospitalized after Crash on Highway 116 in Sebastopol

Sebastopol, CA (October 14, 2021) – Tuesday night, two men sustained injuries after being hit by a car in a crash on Highway 116.

The crash in Sebastopol happened just after 7:30 p.m. in the 2600 block of Highway 116 on October 12.

According to the CHP, the two victims were removing a large tree from the property along Highway 116 and it fell into the road and blocked both lanes in a dark area with no street lights.

CHP added that a 70-year-old Sebastopol man was heading west in a Mercedes when he slammed on his brakes and tried to swerve around them.

Both men,  a 61-year-old from Sonoma and a 56-year-old from Sebastopol suffered major injuries that were not life-threatening.

EMS took them to Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

Drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash. 

No other information is available. Further investigation is ongoing.
