KENT, WA (January 8, 2023) – Saturday afternoon, two men suffered injuries in a small plane crash on Central Avenue South and State Route 167.
 
The incident happened at around 1:30 p.m. in the 1700 block of Central Avenue South, east of State Route 167. According to reports, the plane crashed into a unit at a storage facility.
 
“Every minute did count on this one here,” said Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority Division Chief Pat Pawlak. “They were both inside the plane, and firefighters used ground ladders to access them and ground ladders to bring them down.”
 
Authorities described the plane as a two-seat, fixed-wing, single-engine plane.
 
As a result, responders took both men, ages 23 and 59, to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.
 
By 5:00 p.m., both were conscious and were listed in non-life-threatening conditions.
