2 Killed in Vehicle Collision on Highway 152 [Fresno, CA]

Fresno, CA (December 18, 2024) – A Kia driver and passenger were killed following a vehicle collision on Highway 152 late Monday night.

CHP says the fatal two-vehicle crash happened around 11:52 p.m. on the westbound freeway at Turner Island Road.

According to the authorities, a 2015 Kia was traveling south while a 2015 Freightliner truck and tractor-trailer combination was driving west on the same road.

The Kia driver failed to stop at the posted stop sign on southbound Turner Island Road at Highway 152 and drove toward the Freightliner. 

As a result, the Freightliner crashed into the left side of the Kia.

The Kia driver and its right front passenger were killed at the scene while a one-year-old girl in the same vehicle was transported to Valley Children’s Hospital as a precaution. 

The driver of the Freightliner was not hurt in the collision.
