People Injured in Reedley Fatal Collision
Reedley, CA (June 30, 2024) – Two people were killed following a suspected DUI crash on Manning Avenue Saturday evening.
CHP officers responded at about 7 p.m. to the crash scene at the intersection with Englehart Avenue.
Investigators said a Chevrolet Impala was southbound on Englehart Avenue toward the stop sign at Manning Avenue.
At the same time, a Ford F150 with three occupants from Orange Cove was westbound on Manning Avenue.
Investigators determined Chevrolet failed to stop at the stop sign and drove into the path of the Ford.
As a result, the Ford’s front end collided with Chevrolet’s left front.
The Chevrolet’s driver and right-front passenger, both believed to be in their 30s, were killed in the collision while the Ford occupants incurred minor injuries.
Troopers are investigating if alcohol played a role in the collision as some indications lead them to believe.
