2 Killed in State Route 240 Head-On Collision [Greenwater, TX]

Greenwater, TX (April 29, 2023) – On Friday afternoon, two people were killed and another was injured in a State Route 240 head-on collision.

Washington State Patrol spokesperson Rick Johnson said the two deceased were in the same vehicle while the driver of the other vehicle was airlifted to Seattle with life-threatening injuries.

WSP said the driver who fatally struck the victims’ vehicle was reaching for his mobile phone, as a result, their vehicle swerved into the eastbound lane.

The authorities said impairment is not suspected.
