2 Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Ramona Expressway [Nuevo, CA]

Two Motorcyclists Fatally Injured in Head-on Collision with Truck near Lakeview Avenue

 
NUEVO, CA (May 25, 2018) – Two motorcyclists were killed early Friday morning after a head-on motorcycle accident on Ramona Expressway at Martin Street.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 3:45 AM on Ramona Expressway near Lakeview Avenue. Two motorcyclists collided head-on with a pickup truck, killing both riders at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck was transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
 
Ramona Expressway, between East Rider Street and Lakeview Avenue, was temporarily shut down for approximately 4 hours. Authorities conducted their investigation and reopened the roads around 7:40 AM.
 
Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the fatal collision and have not released any further details about the incident. The identities of the deceased victims have not yet been released to the public, pending notification of family members.
