Two Die, Suspect Arrested after Two-Vehicle Crash on US 60 in Mesa
Mesa, AZ (August 17, 2022) – Early Wednesday morning, two people died in a two-vehicle crash on US 60.
Subsequently, police arrested 27-year-old Kimball Anthony Pardini.
The fatal two-vehicle crash in Mesa happened at around 2:40 a.m. on August 17 near Sossaman Road and near the Loop 202 interchange.
DPS said a sedan driving at a high rate of speed reportedly struck the back of a pickup truck, causing the truck to roll several times.
The driver and the passenger of the truck were ejected and died at the scene. Neither victim had a seatbelt on at the time of the crash.
Pardini, the driver of the vehicle that struck the truck was taken to the hospital for treatment. He is suspected of being impaired at the time of the crash.
Currently, Pardini is booked into a Maricopa County jail.
Further investigation is ongoing.
