2 Dead in Kansas City Auto Accident on Truman Road and Jackson Avenue

KANSAS CITY, MO (October 29, 2024) – Early Sunday, 2 people died in a brutal high-speed crash on Truman Road and Jackson Avenue.

The high-speed crash occurred on Truman Road and Jackson Avenue.

Kansas City police reported that a gray Dodge Hornet, speeding south on Jackson Avenue, ran a red light and struck a silver Ford Fusion traveling east on Truman Road. 

Meanwhile, the collision forced the Ford into a utility pole, resulting in the driver’s death. The Dodge then crashed into a pawnshop wall, killing the front passenger. 

Also, the driver of the Dodge and two other passengers were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Authorities are investigating if impairment was a factor in the crash.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
