Two Fatalities in Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 44 in Shasta County

 
Shasta County, CA (March 12, 2021) – On Thursday, two people died in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 44, two miles east of the Lassen Park Entrance.
 
Moreover, the Shasta County fatal crash happened at around 5:40 p.m near Bridge Creek Road.
 
According to CHP, a vehicle driving eastbound on Highway 44, near Bridge Creek Road., lost control on a curve, spun-out, and then crashed into a Toyota pickup truck in the oncoming lane.
 
As a result, two people inside the vehicle died. Meanwhile, the driver in the pickup remained uninjured.
 
Police said drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the crash. Further investigation into this Highway 44 crash is on-going.
