SUNFLOWER, AZ (June 28, 2022) – Sunday night, two people died in a rollover crash on State Route 87 near Fort McDowell Road.
 
The crash occurred at about 6:00 p.m. when a vehicle overturned in the southbound lanes of State Route 87. Moreover, it happened between Fort McDowell Road and Payson at milepost 19.
 
At this time, DPS officials continue to investigate how the collision occurred. However, they confirmed that the car went to a stop in a nearby creek.
