Deadly Adelanto Auto Accident on Highway 395 and Pozzolan Road

 
ADELANTO, CA (December 31, 2021) – Tuesday morning, two people died in a head-on crash on Highway 395 and Pozzolan Road.
 
The crash between a big rig and a pickup occurred at around 10:22 a.m. Moreover, it occurred on Highway 395 and Pozzolan Road.
 
According to reports, a 41-year-old Reno woman drove a 2005 Toyota Tundra south on US-395. Meanwhile, a 49-year-old Reno man rode in the passenger seat.
 
Also, a Maxwell man driving a 2018 Peterbilt Tractor and trailer drove north on US-395 at approximately 56 mph. The tractor approached the Toyota from the opposite direction. Then, one vehicle left the proper lane and crashed head-on with the other vehicle.
 
The California Highway Patrol, local fire department, and medical personnel all responded to the scene. However, the Toyota driver and passenger sustained fatal injuries. Meanwhile, the Peterbilt driver suffered no injuries.
 
Due to the crash, authorities reduced both directors of Highway 295 to one-way traffic for four hours.
 
At this time, the cause of the crash remains under investigation. Also, the authorities urged anyone with information about the incident to contact the California Highway Patrol at (530) 252-1900.
