2 Dead in Bakersfield Auto Accident on Highway 155 and Melcher Road
BAKERSFIELD, CA (August 9, 2022) – Saturday morning, two people died in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 155 and Melcher Road.
The incident happened just before 2:00 a.m. on Highway 155 and Melcher Road.
According to reports, the Dodge driver failed to stop at a stop sign. As the driver traveled on Melcher Road approaching Highway 155, the Kia driver also approached this intersection on Highway 155 crossing Melcher Road.
Then, the Dodge T-boned the Kia leaving both vehicles with damages.
Moreover, responders took the 17-year-old Dodge driver from Delano and his two passengers sustained moderate and major injuries. Responders took them to Kern Medical for treatment.
Meanwhile, the 33-year-old male driver and passenger, a 31-year-old woman of the Kia, both died at the scene.
At this time, their identities remain undisclosed. Moreover, the crash affected the traffic for about two hours during the investigation.
Furthermore, the crash hasn’t been confirmed whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
