2 Dead in Indio Auto Accident on Christopher Columbus Transcontinental Highway and Hayfield Road
INDIO, CA (January 31, 2023) – Monday morning, two people died in an SUV vs big rig crash on Christopher Columbus Transcontinental Highway.
The incident happened at 4:14 a.m. on the westbound Christopher Columbus Transcontinental Highway, west of Hayfield Road. After the crash between the SUV and the big rig, the SUV caught fire.
Meanwhile, the Riverside County coroner’s office came to the scene at 4:52 a.m.
Furthermore, the Riverside County Fire Department described the location as Chiriaco Summit. They also added that the crash led to the two fatalities.
