BAKERSFIELD, CA (October 2, 2022) – Early Saturday morning, two people died in a head-on crash on California City Boulevard and Yerba Boulevard.
 
The incident at about 6:15 a.m. on California City Boulevard and Yerba Boulevard.
 
According to reports, the head-on crash involved unspecified 2017 Chevrolet and 2021 Toyota models. When authorities arrived, they declared both drivers dead at the scene. Meanwhile, responders took a third person to a hospital for treatment.
 
Reports said that speed and alcohol played a role in the crash.
 
The Kern County Coroner’s Office will release the identity at a later time.
