Motorcyclist and Female Driver Die after Crash on Balls Ferry Road in Anderson
Anderson, CA (November 24, 2022) – Thursday evening, a good Samaritan died trying to help a motorcyclist who was seriously hurt after hitting a deer. However, they both lost their lives third driver didn’t see them in the road and hit them on Balls Ferry Road.
The crash happened at around 5:30 p.m. on November 24 on northbound I-5 near Riverside Avenue.
CHP said the motorcyclist had struck a deer causing them to lose control and slide into the center median on the roadway near Balls Ferry Road.
Then a good Samaritan stopped her vehicle in the center median and got out of her car to help the injured biker.
However, while attempting to help the crashed motorcyclist, a third driver, who reportedly did not see the injured rider or the person rendering aid, struck both people.
Officials said both the motorcyclist and the good Samaritan died at the crash scene.
Investigators said the third driver who hit them was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
