2 Dead in Shelton Car Accident
SHELTON, WA (January 10, 2019) – Two people died in a collision between a passenger car and a semi-truck on Highway 101 on January 9.
It was about 7:00 a.m. when the state troopers and medics responded to a report of a serious accident and arrived about five miles north of Shelton near Purdy Creek.
The state troopers revealed that the occupants from the totaled car both died at the scene. There was no further information provided regarding the two victims.
The semi truck driver was reportedly unharmed.
It was determined through a preliminary investigation that the vehicle was traveling north on Highway 101 while the semi was southbound. The car drove across the centerline into the path of the oncoming semi.
As a result of the collision, the highway was shut down in both directions for around 3 1/2 hours but are now available.
