2 Dead in Lodi Car Accident on Highway 99

 
LODI, CA (August 5, 2019) – Two people died in a car accident on Highway 99 on July 2.
 
The crash occurred about 7:20 a.m on southbound Highway 99, south of Kettleman Lane. According to reports, a 74-year-old woman driving a 1970 Chevy Nova drove off the west side of the road.
 
Eventually, the car struck a light pole and then hit a tree.
 
The two occupants, the elderly driver and a 63-year-old male passenger, died at the scene. Authorities haven’t released their identities as of this time.
 
The CHP currently investigates the accident.
 
Police did not release any other additional information regarding the accident at this time. However, authorities ruled out drugs or alcohol as factors in the collision.
