2 Killed in Big Rig Crash on Interstate 30 [Royse City, TX]

FM 35 Fatal 18-Wheeler Collision Delays Traffic

Royse City, TX (Aug. 8, 2023) – On Monday, two people lost their lives following a vehicle crash on Interstate 30.

The traffic collision happened before 8:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-30 at FM 35.

Investigating officers stated that an 18-wheeler was westbound when it crossed into the eastbound lanes of the freeway and collided with three cars. One of the cars involved in the collision caught on fire, killing the two people inside.

In the meantime, the authorities said the I-30 eastbound lanes have been closed between FM 35 and FM 2642 and will be closed for several hours while the investigation and cleanup continue.
