2 Dead in Needles Car vs Pickup Truck Crash on Interstate 40 and Five Mile Road

 
NEEDLES, CA (May 31, 2022) – Monday afternoon, two people died in an auto accident on Interstate 40 and Five Mile Road in Needles.
 
The incident occurred at about 12:36 p.m. on Interstate 40, east of Five Mile Road.
 
According to reports, firefighters from San Bernardino County Fire District 32, Baker Emergency Medical Service paramedics, and CHP officers came to the scene.
 
Reports revealed that a black pickup truck came from the eastbound lanes. Then, it went across the center divider, crashed with a red car, and fell near the westbound lanes of Interstate 40.
 
The impact ejected two people from the pickup truck, who later succumbed to injuries.
 
Also, a medical helicopter responded to the scene, possibly with additional patients.
 
Meanwhile, the left lane of westbound Interstate 40 during clean-up.
 
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued investigating the crash.
