2 Killed, 3 Injured in Crash near 117th Avenue and Glendale Avenue [Glendale, AZ]

3 Hurt in Fatal Glendale Multi-Vehicle Accident near 117th Avenue

 
GLENDALE, AZ (October 19, 2020) – Saturday night, two people died while three others suffered injuries in a crash near 117th Avenue.
 
The crash involving three vehicles occurred at about 11:30 p.m. near 117th Avenue and Glendale Avenue.
 
According to reports, a car struck the rear of another car while heading west on Glen Harbor Boulevard. Due to the impact, the second vehicle was pushed into a third car traveling east.
 
Due to the crash, responders transported an occupant in the first car to the hospital. The person is listed in stable condition.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the second vehicle suffered minor injuries. However, the two passengers in the second car sustained fatal injuries.
 
According to the authorities, the female adult passenger succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Meanwhile, responders transported the backseat passenger, a teenager, to the hospital. Unfortunately, the teenager later died at the hospital.
 
Furthermore, the third vehicle driver sustained minor injuries but didn’t require hospitalization.
 
Due to this, the authorities shut down Glendale Avenue at Glen Harbor and Dysart Sunday morning during the investigation.
 
As of this time, the authorities haven’t made any arrests. Moreover, they confirmed that they are currently investigating speed and impairment as factors in the collision.
 
On the other hand, the identities of the victim remain undisclosed.
