2 Dead and 2 Hurt in Whittier Car Crash on Norwalk Boulevard and Beverly Road
WHITTIER, CA (November 2, 2020) – Sunday morning, two people died while two others suffered injuries in an accident on Norwalk Boulevard and Beverly Boulevard.
Whittier Police Lt. Dominic Iraldo revealed that the crash occurred at 3:31 a.m. It happened near Norwalk Boulevard and Beverly Boulevard intersection.
According to reports, a black sedan traveled at a high rate of speed west on Beverly Boulevard. Then, it lost control near the intersection and crashed into some parked cars on northbound Norwalk Boulevard.
The authorities revealed that two men and two women occupied the sedan.
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to Deveron Drive and Beverly Boulevard. They came at 3:34 a.m., said supervising fire dispatcher Melinda Choi.
After seven minutes, they declared a person deceased at the scene. Then, they freed another trapped person. By 3:53 a.m., responders transported a person to a local trauma center.
However, at 4:21 a.m., the county fire officials declared that two people succumbed to injuries. Meanwhile, another person with injuries is receiving treatment at the hospital. The authorities requested a second ambulance to transported a fourth person with an unknown condition.
“Our traffic bureau is at the scene and the coroner’s office is en route,” Iraldo stated.
