Two Fatalities in Solo Vehicle Crash near the Brake Inspection Turnout at InKoPah
Jacumba Hot Springs, CA (July 10, 2020) – On Thursday afternoon, two people died, and one sustained severe injuries after a solo vehicle crash near the Brake Inspection Turnout at InKoPah.
The crash happened at about 2:20 p.m. on July 9. Initial reports indicate a car lost control and rolled over and then burst into flames. There were three occupants in the vehicle; two died on the spot while the other was critical.
Consequently, both eastbound and eastbound lanes shut down for emergency crews to attend to the victims and the Life Flight helicopters to land. Lanes then reopened at about 3:30 p.m.
No other information is released. Further investigation is ongoing.
