2 Killed, 1 Hurt in Car Crash on Mussey Grade Road [Ramona, CA]

2 Dead, 1 Wounded in Ramona Car Crash

 
Ramona, CA (June 11, 2020) – On Sunday, at around 12:15 p.m, two people died and another sustained injuries in a crash on Mussey Grade Road, south of Mahogany Ranch Road.
 
A 56-year-old woman from Fallbrook was driving a 2016 Ford Focus moving northbound on Mussey Grade Road.
 
Meanwhile, another woman was driving a 2017 Subaru Impreza with a male passenger traveling southbound on the same road.
 
For reasons still unknown, the woman driving the Ford Focus failed to maintain control and swerved to the southbound lane. Consequently, her vehicle collided with Subaru.
 
Moreover, the Ford driver and the Subaru passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.
 
While the Subaru driver sustained major injuries. The medics rushed her via helicopter to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido.
 
Additionally, officials said both people riding the Subaru were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, and the driver of the Ford was not.
 
It is still not clear if alcohol and or drugs were a factor in the crash.
 
The identities of the deceased will be available once the family is notified.
