Two Hospitalized after Head-On Crash on Alpine Boulevard

Alpine, CA (January 11, 2023) – Two people sustained serious injuries in a head-on crash on Alpine Boulevard on Tuesday evening.

The head-on crash in Alpine happened around 6:30 p.m. on January 10.

CHP said a man in a 1987 Suzuki Samarai was headed west on Alpine when, for unknown reasons, he drove into oncoming traffic and crashed into a 2003 Honda Accord.

The Suzuki then overturned, and the driver, a 40-year-old Santee resident, was seriously hurt. Meanwhile, the 70-year-old Honda driver also sustained injuries.

EMS both took the two patients to a hospital.

Investigators said drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factored in the crash.

Further investigation into this crash is ongoing.
