2 Injured in Suspected DUI Collision on Arroyo Road [Livermore, CA]

Two People Hospitalized after Accident near Wetmore Road

 
LIVERMORE, CA (September 1, 2018) – Two people were injured in a suspected DUI collision on Arroyo Road, late Saturday night.
 
The crash was reported at around 11:35 PM near Wetmore Road. According to reports from the California Highway Patrol, a Mitsubishi Mirage was headed northbound on Arroyo when it veered into the southbound lanes, where it hit an oncoming Mitsubishi Montero.
 
Officials stated that the female Mirage driver appeared to be intoxicated and had recently left from the Wente Winery. She was extricated from her vehicle, before being transported to the Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley. The second driver sustained minor injuries and was rushed to the Stanford ValleyCare Hospital in Pleasanton. There is no update on either person’s current medical condition.
 
Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in the collision. No further details have been disclosed to the public, as the investigation continues.
