2 San Francisco Police Officers Hospitalized After Crash on 3rd Street 

San Francisco, CA (October 10, 2024) – On Thursday, two San Francisco police officers were hospitalized with injuries in a crash on 3rd Street.

Two San Francisco police officers were hospitalized with injuries on Thursday after attempting to stop a wanted vehicle that tried to ram their patrol car before fleeing and overturning in the Bret Harte neighborhood.

According to police, shortly after 3 p.m., officers were following a wanted vehicle and tried to initiate a traffic stop. 

The suspect vehicle refused to yield and attempted to ram the patrol car, causing a collision. The suspect then fled the scene and was involved in another crash, rolling over at the intersection of 3rd St. and Jamestown Ave. 

Additional officers arrived at the scene and arrested the adult male suspect. 

Medics transported the injured officers to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the suspect was also taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Police stated that charges are pending as the investigation continues.
