Injuries Reported in Austin Motorcycle Accident on Interstate 35 near La Posada Drive

AUSTIN, TX (May 27, 2024) – Early Saturday morning, 2 people suffered injuries in a startling motorcycle crash on Interstate 35 near La Posada Drive.

The incident occurred just after 4:00 a.m. in the northbound lane of I-35 near La Posada Drive

According to reports, two people were transported to the hospital after the crash between a motorcycle and an emergency vehicle in northeast Austin.

Reports said that the Highway Emergency Response Operator (HERO) vehicle was responding to an unrelated single-vehicle crash at the time of the second crash. Meanwhile, the motorcycle ended up underneath the HERO vehicle.

After the crash, responders took both patients to Dell Seton Medical Center. One suffered serious, potentially life-threatening injuries and the other had non-life-threatening injuries.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
