Injuries Reported in Santa Clarita Traffic Crash on State Route 14 near Soledad Canyon Road
SANTA CLARITA, CA (July 28, 2024) – Saturday morning, 2 people suffered injuries in a startling auto accident on State Route 14 and Soledad Canyon Road.
Reports said that the incident involving a tractor-trailer that crashed into a parked BMW occurred just before 3:58 a.m. on State Route 14 near Soledad Canyon Road.
Meanwhile, the Fire Department responded and took two patients to a local hospital at 4:29 a.m., said supervising fire dispatcher Llacuna.
Eyewitnesses reported that the BMW was parked in a blind spot when it was struck by a tractor-trailer. A witness quickly ran to assist and found the male driver of the semi-truck with minor leg injuries. Inside the semi-truck, a female passenger appeared disoriented, and a dog had sustained injuries.
The BMW contained three minors who suffered minor injuries. A male was lying on the ground until paramedics arrived, while two adults in the BMW were uninjured.
The crash caused major damage to a guardrail, necessitating a hard closure for debris cleanup. The area was cleared by 6:30 a.m., according to Lough.
