Injuries Reported in Lompoc Auto Accident on Sweeney Road near Highway 246
LOMPOC, CA (January 10, 2022) – Sunday afternoon, two people sustained injuries in a solo crash on Sweeney Road near Highway 246.
According to Santa Barbara County Fire Department spokesman Mike Eliason, the incident happened at around 4:37 p.m. Moreover, it occurred at the 2000 block of Sweeney Road near Highway 246.
Reports revealed that a GMC pickup crashed down a 75-foot cliff for still unknown reasons.
Moreover, responders rushed to the scene and extricated two people, a male, and a female, trapped inside the vehicle. Then, paramedics transported the two patients to Cottage Hospital via helicopter. Meanwhile, officials confirmed that one patient sustained major injuries and the other suffered critical injuries.
