2 Hurt in Victorville Car Accident

VICTORVILLE, CA (February 12, 2019) — Two people sustained injuries following a single-vehicle rollover crash on February 10.

The incident occurred around 6:00 p.m. in front of the Red Lobster Restaurant on Amargosa Road in Victorville.

For unidentified reasons, a 2004 Volkswagen Beetle lost control and collided into the chain linked fence and rolled over into a drainage ditch along the southbound 15 Freeway.

When the San Bernardino County Firefighters came to respond to the scene, they found an overturned VW Beetle in the ditch with two occupants trapped inside that requires minor extrication.

As a result of the collision, two people were taken by ground ambulances, one of them was transported to a local hospital while the other was to a trauma center down the hill.

The incident led the Victorville deputies to close Amargosa Road for a short time as they conduct an investigation and for the clearing up operations as well.

It’s still unidentified whether the rain was a factor in the collision.
