2 Hospitalized after Inglewood Auto Accident on Hawthorne Boulevard and 103rd Street
INGLEWOOD, CA (December 17, 2020) – Wednesday morning, two people sustained injuries in a single-vehicle crash on Hawthorne Boulevard and 103rd Street.
According to Battalion Chief Robert Harris of the Los Angeles County Fire Department, authorities received a report of a vehicle crash at about 1:00 a.m. Moreover, it happened at the intersection of Hawthorne Boulevard and 103rd Street.
Reports revealed that a Honda Civic traveling at a high rate of speed crashed into a light pole. The force of the crash ejected one person from the vehicle. Moreover, the crash was so severe that the vehicle wrapped around the pole it struck, trapping one more person inside.
Responders managed to extricate the two persons trapped inside after 40 minutes.
Authorities said that the man ejected from the vehicle was found 40 feet away from the Civic.
Paramedics rushed the two people to a hospital after sustaining critical injuries.
Officers refused to disclose the name and age of the two men involved in the incident.
