Vehicle Plunges 200 Feet Down After Crash on Sand Canyon Road in Santa Clarita
Santa Clarita, CA (October 2, 2021) – Friday night, two passengers were rescued after a car crashed on Sand Canyon Road then plunged nearly 200 feet down a Santa Clarita ravine.
The crash happened at around 11 p.m. on October 1, just a mile south of Placerita Canyon Road.
Los Angeles County Fire Department said the vehicle was found almost 200 feet over the side and landed in a ravine.
The team responded to the scene to rescue the passengers using a rope rescue technique.
EMS then took the two passengers to the hospital in unknown condition.
Police continue to further investigate the circumstances leading to this crash.
