2 Injured in Plane Crash on Moody Canyon Truck Trail [Acton, CA]

Acton, CA (March 27, 2024) – Two people suffered from injuries following a plane crash on Moody Canyon Truck Trail Friday evening.

It was about 6:30 p.m. when the single-engine Piper PA-28 crashed on BP&L Road.

Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Steve Kulm said two people were aboard the aircraft when it crashed.

The accident report noted that the Piper Cherokee aircraft left Palmdale Regional Airport at 5:40 p.m. and flew around 30-35 miles before it crash-landed. The aircraft appeared to be largely intact

The two plane occupants were conscious when they were airlifted to a hospital.

The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the collision.
