2 Hurt in Victorville Pedestrian Accident on D Street
VICTORVILLE, CA (November 11, 2019) – Two people suffered injuries in a pedestrian accident on D Street on November 7.
The pickup truck and pedestrian crash happened at around 6:04 p.m. on D Street and 6th Street in old town Victorville. According to Josh Mallett, a witness of the crash, a black pick up truck’s mirror hit a homeless woman who ran across D Street.
Victorville City Firefighters came to the scene and dispatched a medical helicopter to transport the female pedestrian. A Reach helicopter came to D Street and subsequently flew the woman to a trauma center. Her condition remains unavailable as of this time.
Meanwhile, the pickup’s male driver stayed at the scene and helped with the investigation. Moreover, an ambulance also took a second pedestrian to a local hospital with less serious injuries.
The crash led officers to close the road in both directions while crews worked at the scene.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash and they are urging anyone with information to contact the Victorville Police Department at 760-241-2911.
