67-Year-Old and 16-Year-Old Hospitalized after Pedestrian Crash near 54th Street in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 19, 2020) – Monday night, a 16-year-old girl and a 67-year-old woman were killed in a pedestrian accident on Collwood Boulevard.
Officers received reports of the collision just after 8:05 p.m. Dispatchers arrived to the area near 54th Street shortly after.
An 81-year-old woman traveling in a northbound 2003 Subaru Baja struck both females on Collwood Boulevard.
The two pedestrians were immediately transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The elderly woman received treatment for fractures to her leg and arm. Meanwhile, the teenager was treated for minor injuries.
Moreover, the Subaru driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with officials. Authorities also ruled out intoxication as a factor in the collision.
