2 People Hurt After Motorcycle Crash with SUV in Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 17, 2019) — A motorcycle crash with SUV on Gosford Road injured two people Friday afternoon in Bakersfield.
The accident occurred in the 4600 block of Gosford Road at about 1:30 p.m. The Bakersfield police said a motorcyclist was southbound when he began riding on one wheel.
While he was performing the wheelie stunt, the motorcycle crashed into an SUV making a U-turn on Gosford Road.
The motorcyclist suffered critical injuries. The police said he is now in stable condition.
The woman driving the SUV did not sustain injuries. She remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
On the other hand, the male passenger suffered minor injuries. Medics treated him at the scene.
The police believed that alcohol or drugs were not factors in the crash. Further investigation is underway. The officers urge anyone with information to call BPD at (661) 327-7111.
