2 Hurt in Corona Motorcycle Accident
CORONA, CA (May 27, 2019) – Two people sustained injuries in a motorcycle collision on 91 Freeway on May 24.
According to Corona police Sgt. Chad Fountain, a 46-year-old male motorcycle driver exited eastbound 91 Freeway at McKinley Street. For an unknown reason, the driver couldn’t complete a left turn onto northbound McKinley. The rider then hit a pole in front of the Shell gas station.
Fountain added that the driver went to the hospital with major injuries. Meanwhile, his female passenger suffered ‘significant trauma.’
During the investigation, one of the northbound McKinley lanes from Sampson Avenue, and the eastbound 91 onramps at McKinley remained closed.
Weaving in and out of lanes is dangerous. Always stay at your lane and be aware of the presence of other motorists around you. Pay attention and consider small vehicles like motorcycles and bicycles because these are more prone to road accidents than bigger vehicles.
